Nutrien Ltd., Saskatoon, confirmed that its Swift Creek Chemical plant at Nutrien White Springs Phosphate experienced a phosphoric acid spill on Sept. 13 around 3:30 a.m. due to equipment failure. The company said its emergency response team quickly responded and the 200,000-gallon spill was fully contained on site. No injuries or damage to the environment were reported.
