U.S. Imports:
The DOC counted SOP imports at 53,455 st for the July-December fertilizer year-to-date, a 13.2 percent year-over-year increase from 47,235 st. December 2020 imports were reported at 3,085 st, falling 61.1 percent from the previous year’s 7,937 st.
U.S. Exports:
December SOP exports were noted at 5,393 st, softening 10.8 percent from the year-ago 6,048 st. July-December totals stood at 30,717 st, down 48.1 percent from 59,170 st in 2019.
Eastern Canada:
The SOP market was quoted at C$880-$885/mt FOB in Eastern Canada, up C$41/mt at the low end of the range.
