Two workers were killed and more than a dozen were injured due to a boiler explosion at Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd.’s (IFFCO) Phulpur nitrogen plant in Uttar Pradesh on March 23, according to the Hindustan Times. An ammonia leak at the same plant in December killed two and injured 16 (GM Jan. 1, p. 28).
