Tove Andersen, currently Executive Vice President Yara Europe, has been appointed President and CEO of Tomra Systems ASA, Yara International ASA. She will take up the new position by Nov. 1, 2021.
Andersen has been part of Yara’s executive management team since 2016, and has worked for Yara (and formerly Norsk Hydro) for 24 years. Yara said it has initiated the process of finding her successor.
Tomra’s current President and CEO Stefan Ranstrand announced in October 2020 his desire to step down during 2021. As requested by Tomra’s board, he will continue as President and CEO until Andersen takes over.
Asker, Norway-headquartered Tomra has two main business areas: collection solutions (reverse vending and material recovery) and sorting solutions (food, recycling, and mining). The company has installations in over 80 markets worldwide.
