Two contractors at OCI Nitrogen Iowa (formerly Iowa Fertilizer Co.) in Wever, Iowa, were injured in an ammonia-related accident while doing scheduled maintenance on Sept. 15 and were sent to the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center. One was later airlifted to Iowa City. OCI had not responded to inquiries at press time.
