Sulfur

Tampa:

Second-quarter Tampa molten sulfur contracts were noted at $81/lt CFR, up 17.4% from the first quarter’s $69/lt CFR level.

US Gulf:

The US Gulf sulfur market softened to $77-$81/mt FOB, off 5.4% from the prior $82-$85/mt FOB.

Brazil:

Sulfur prices were stable at $104-$106/mt CFR in Brazil.

Vancouver:   

The Vancouver prilled sulfur market pulled back to $69-$74/mt FOB during the week, down from $74-$77/mt FOB at last report.

Alberta:

Alberta sulfur estimates continued at (-)$34-$11/mt FOB. Molten cargoes contracted into the US market set both the high and low of the range, while solid tons sold through the Vancouver export market were noted toward the range’s high side.

West Coast:                  

The West Coast prill market softened in line with Vancouver, to $69-$74/mt FOB from last week’s $74-$77/mt FOB. Second-quarter molten contracts were reported at $60-$62/lt FOB, up from $50-$55/lt FOB in 1Q.

China:

Sulfur imports to China were unchanged at the week-ago $101-$105/mt CFR level.

ADNOC:

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) sulfur was posted at $80/mt FOB Ruwais for June loading, an 8.0% decrease from $87/mt FOB in May.

Qatar:

Muntajat offers for June were reported at $79/mt FOB Ras Laffan, off 8.1% from May’s $86/mt FOB price.
