Calgary — Agrium Inc.’s board of directors has approved an expansion of its specialty fertilizer ESN capacity at New Madrid, Mo. Current New Madrid ESN capacity of 136,000 mt will more than double and is expected to be online by the end of the year. Agrium produces ESN at New Madrid and at Carseland, Alberta (219,000 mt/y).
