Ammonium Polyphosphate

Eastern Cornbelt:

10-34-0 remained at $525-$545/st FOB in the Eastern Cornbelt, with the low for prompt tons and the high for prepay offers.

Western Cornbelt:

The 10-34-0 market was steady at $520-$550/st FOB for the latest offers in the Western Cornbelt, depending on location and time of shipment, with the high confirmed in Iowa.

California:

10-34-0 was pegged at $569-$574/st FOB for January offers in California, while the latest 11-37-0 prices were reported in the $620-$625/st FOB range.

Pacific Northwest:

The 10-34-0 market was steady at $555/st FOB in the Pacific Northwest. 11-37-0 pricing was quoted at $610/st FOB, with delivered tons in Idaho and Utah reported at the $600/st level.

Western Canada:

The 10-34-0 market in Western Canada firmed to C$905-$925/mt DEL for January-February shipments, up from the last reported C$895/mt DEL level for December-January.

Muriate of Potash

US Gulf:

The NOLA potash market remained at the $320-$325/st FOB level for the latest trades, unchanged from the prior week.

Eastern Cornbelt:

Potash was quoted at $380-$395/st FOB in the Eastern Cornbelt, with the Cincinnati market unchanged at $380-$390/st FOB in mid-January. The order period for 1Q fill program tons at $385/st FOB was slated to end after Jan. 19, with prices then rising $30/st for 2Q shipments.

Western Cornbelt:

Potash was pegged in the $360-$390/st FOB range in the Western Cornbelt, depending on location, with the St. Louis market quoted at $360-$370/st FOB. The order period for Nutrien’s winter fill program at $385/st FOB Midwest terminals for 1Q shipment was scheduled to end after Jan. 19, with a $30/st increase for 2Q delivery.

California:

Potash pricing slipped to $518-$548/st FOB or DEL in California for fill offers, down from the prior $530-$553/st FOB range, with the low for 1Q tons and the high for 2Q shipments.

Pacific Northwest:

Potash was pegged at $465-$473/st FOB or DEL for 1Q fill tons in the Pacific Northwest, down from the prior $482-$508/st FOB or DEL, with the high reflecting reference pricing for 62% MOP and the low for 60%. A $30/st increase was slated take effect at the end of the week.

The last postings from Intrepid FOB Moab and Wendover, Utah, included $435/st FOB for 60% white standard and $440/st for 60% white granular.

Western Canada:

Granular potash fill pricing in Western Canada was confirmed at C$540-$545/mt FOB Saskatchewan mines for 1Q truck shipments, depending on grade, down roughly C$40/mt from the last prompt business.

Brazil:

Despite an ongoing bearish sentiment in the Brazil potash market, driven in part by inventories reported at a record 3-3.5 million mt at the end of 2023, producers held levels at $290-$300/mt CFR, resisting buyer efforts to soften prices. The Rondonópolis market was steady at $420-$440/mt FOB ex-warehouse.

Sulfur

Tampa:

First-quarter Tampa molten sulfur contracts were valued at $69/lt CFR, a $33/lt decline from $102/lt CFR in the fourth quarter.

US Gulf:

The US Gulf market pulled back 7.1%, players noted, to $60-$65/mt FOB from the previous $65-$70/mt FOB range.

Brazil:

Brazil prices were unchanged at $91-$95/mt CFR, with the latest deals reported at the bottom of the range.

Vancouver:   

Vancouver prill prices remained at $62-$66/mt FOB for the week.

Alberta:

Alberta netbacks continued at (-)$46-(-)$1/mt FOB. Molten sulfur cargoes contracted into the US market and solid material shipped offshore through the Vancouver export market were represented in the range.

West Coast:

West Coast prills remained even with Vancouver in the $62-$66/mt FOB range. Fourth-quarter molten sulfur contracts were reported at $50-$55/lt FOB.

China:

China import prices remained at $90-$95/mt CFR, steady from the prior report.

ADNOC:

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) sulfur was posted at $77/mt FOB Ruwais for January loading, down 11.5% from $87/mt FOB in December.

Qatar:

January Muntajat prices were posted at $74/mt FOB Ras Laffan, a 12.9% decline from December’s $85/mt FOB offer.

Ammonium Thiosulfate

Eastern Cornbelt:

The ammonium thiosulfate market remained at $255-$270/st FOB in the Eastern Cornbelt, with the low confirmed at Cincinnati and the high at Terre Haute, Ind.

Western Cornbelt:

Ammonium thiosulfate pricing was unchanged at $250-$260/st FOB in the Western Cornbelt, with the low reported at Waterloo, Iowa.

California:

The ammonium thiosulfate price was steady at $340/st FOB in California.

Pacific Northwest:

Ammonium thiosulfate was quoted at $305-$315/st FOB in the Pacific Northwest.

Western Canada:

The ammonium thiosulfate market was quoted at the C$435/mt DEL level in Saskatchewan, up C$10/mt from December.
