BRANDT Inc. – Management Brief

Specialty crop inputs producer BRANDT Inc. on Aug. 29 announced a series of structural changes to its Specialty Formulations sales group and the creation of a new global supply chain function. Though all changes are effective on Oct. 1, the company expects transitions will take place over the course of the 2024 calendar year.

Matthew Ingram has been named Vice President, Sales, and will transition into a leadership role of a corporate sales function. Ingram will lead sales, customer support, and the overall customer experience for BRANDT Specialty Formulations. He will work with Bill Engel, BRANDT Executive Vice President, as Engel transitions out of his day-to-day role of leading Specialty Formulations.

In addition, John Guglielmi, current National Sales Director for Specialty Formulations, will move over to Dowdy Crop Innovations to take on leadership of the Total Acre program. As Vice President, Total Acre, Guglielmi will work to grow the Total Acre program and provide strategic leadership, helping the company build out its camp-based consulting model, product testing, and farmer-first advocacy.

BRANDT said it is also creating a global supply chain function under the leadership of Brent Wallner. Currently VP, Dealer Support, Wallner has been named to the new role of Vice President, Supply Chain, with responsibility for coordination of BRANDT Dealer Support, Specialty Formulations purchasing, logistics and production, and Talc USA production. BRANDT said the goal of the Supply Chain function is to provide more coordinated management of these areas, delivering scale efficiencies and increased quality.

BRANDT on Aug. 26 announced the addition of Landon White as the company’s new Turf Territory Sales Manager. White will cover sales operations across Southern Nevada, Southern Utah, Southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico.

A Rutger University alumnus, White graduated from the Professional Golf Turf Management program and is a Certified Golf Course Superintendent. Previous experience includes recent roles at Copper River Golf Club in Fresno, Calif, and hosting the 2021 LPGA Symetra Tour Copper Rock Championship at his previous course in Hurricane, Utah.

Earlier in August, BRANDT announced that it had promoted Brad Westlake to Manager of the BRANDT Agronomic Services location in Greenview, Ill. Westlake has been a member of the BRANDT Greenview team since May 2019, serving as the Assistant Manager of the agriculture retail facility. Westlake is taking over for John Van Riper, who has been in the role since 2020, and will be reporting to Ken Vincent, BRANDT Agronomic Services North Regional Manager.
