Stamicarbon BV, Sittard, the Netherlands, reported the successful startup of Brunei Fertilizer Industries (BFI)’s new urea melt plant in Brunei. It has a nameplate capacity of 3,900 mt/d (GM Sept. 18, 2020; Feb. 23, 2018). The first granules came off the production line on Jan. 16.
