India Plans to Stop Urea Imports by End of 2025

India’s Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said the country will stop importing urea by the end of 2025, according to the Press Trust of India, as it has used a two-pronged strategy to end its dependency on imports. This includes the revival of four closed urea plants, with another to still come online, as well as the introduction of liquid Nano Urea.
