State-owned oil company Petróleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras), Rio de Janeiro, reported on Aug. 11 that it has begun the process of selling potassium mining rights located in the Amazon Basin.
Petrobras said the asset is composed of 34 mining titles of potassium salts located in the Amazon Basin and granted by the National Mining Agency (ANM). Of these 34 titles, eight are mining concessions, four are mining requirements, and 22 are in the process of obtaining a research authorization.
