Interoceanic Corp. (IOC) on Aug. 18 announced new pricing for PCI’s premium grade granular ammonium sulfate, with postings firming to $220/st FOB Upper Mississippi River locations and $245/st FOB inland Cornbelt locations. Those levels are up $10/st from the company’s summer fill prices announced in early July. IOC is the exclusive distributor of ammonium sulfate produced by PCI Nitrogen in Pasadena, Texas.
BHP Ltd., Melbourne, now expects to present its Jansen Stage 1 potash project to its board for a final investment decision in the middle of 2021 calendar year, the group said in its full-year earnings report released Aug. 18. The group previously planned to make the presentation in February of next year.
In a clear sign India is short of urea, MMTC called a tender to close August 26 with shipping by October 5. This will be the seventh tender called by India so far this year, compared to seven called in all of 2019. Even after RCF took 958,000 mt, sources said the country still needs to be at least another 1.5 million mt for the season.
