Teck Resources Ltd.’s Trail, B.C., fertilizer operations went down Feb. 25 due to an acid spill, according to the Canadian press, citing Teck and B.C. authorities. The spill initially went into the Columbia River but was diverted to an onsite reservoir.
Wilbur-Ellis Co. LLC reports that it has acquired Nebraska retailer Wiles Brothers Fertilizer Inc. In business since 1976, Wiles expands the Wilbur-Ellis footprint in Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa.
Nutrien Ltd. announced Feb. 27 that it has entered into a binding agreement with Australia’s Ruralco Holdings Ltd. to acquire all the shares of Ruralco at a price of A$4.40 per share.
