The Army Corps of Engineers reported Monday Oct. 2 around 7:00 p.m. that Lock 53 on the Ohio River is back in operation. Project personnel remedied the hydraulic issue in the main chamber at Lock and Dam 53 (Ohio River, Mile 962.6). Navigation traffic, which had been backed up for some 46 miles, will now lock through the main chamber.
