Tampa:
Molten sulfur tons delivered to Tampa in the fourth quarter were contracted at $90/lt CFR, a $262/lt decline from $352/lt CFR in the third quarter.
Due to the holiday-shortened week, US Energy Information Administration refinery capacity utilization and crude input data was unavailable at press time. Nationwide utilization was reported at 92.9% for the week ending Nov. 11. Crude inputs averaged 16.152 million barrels/d through the period.
US Gulf:
Recent Gulf export pricing continued to be noted in a $147-$155/mt FOB range, unchanged from the prior week.
Brazil:
Last-done at Brazil was called $185-$190/mt CFR, steady from one week earlier.
Fourth-quarter contracts at Brazil were reported at $119-$138/mt CFR. Minimal contracting was reported in the third quarter.
Vancouver:
Pricing at Vancouver continued to be heard in a $150-$160/mt FOB range, unchanged from the prior report. Firming expectations at China were likely to trigger higher pricing in the next round of business, some previously argued.
Alberta:
Sulfur loading from Alberta was indicated netting back (-)25-$90/mt FOB to sellers. The wide range included pricing from both molten tons contracted into the US market and prilled material selling offshore through the Vancouver export market.
West Coast:
West Coast prilled sulfur values continued to be indicated at $150-$160/mt FOB for the week.
Fourth-quarter molten sulfur contracts were called $75-$79/lt FOB, a decline from $370-$385/lt FOB in the prior quarter.
China:
Recent China spot pricing was noted in a $190-$195/mt CFR range, steady from the prior week. Players generally expected a move to $200/mt CFR or above in the next round of business.
ADNOC:
Solid sulfur produced by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. was noted at $140/mt FOB Ruwais for November loading. The market was reported at $103/mt FOB for October, $37/mt below the current level.
Qatar:
Muntajat November prills were heard at $149/mt FOB Ras Laffan, up $45/mt from $104/mt FOB in October.
