German copper producer Aurubis AG on May 15 said a third worker died on May 12 following a serious incident involving a nitrogen leak at its Primary Smelter Plant East in Hamburg on May 11 (GM May 12, p. 32).
Two of the three employees injured in the nitrogen leak while conducting regular maintenance on a nitrogen line died in hospital on the day of the incident.
