It’s now Wisconsin Crop Production Association

Madison, Wisc. -The Wisconsin Fertilizer and Chemical Association, a 45-year-old trade association with 1,750 members, is changing its name effective immediately to the Wisconsin Crop Production Association, according to Executive Director Mike Turner. Turner said the new name was recommended by the board of directors and recently approved by the membership. It reflects the expansion of the organization to include industry sectors such as seed companies, agricultural consultants, and grain dealers, and portrays a more favorable image with the public. “The original name was too restrictive and needed to be updated to reflect our interest in welcoming participation by additional segments of the agribusiness community,” Turner explained, “and it is hard to disagree that crop production is a very positive concept.”
