Robert Brown has been hired as the new president and CEO of Calamco. He replaces Bob Smith, who is retiring after 47 years with the company. Smith will remain at Calamco until the end of the year and will play a key role in transition leadership. Brown was formerly with Land O’Lakes, located in Tulare, Calif., and held the position of vice president of manufacturing. He was responsible for all California operations.


ConAgra Foods Inc. announced the appointments of Ruth Ann Marshall and Andrew Schindler to the company’s board of directors. Most recently, Marshall was president of MasterCard International’s Americas region, a post she held until her retirement in June 2006. Schindler was chairman and CEO of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Holdings Inc., where he held various senior management positions over a 30-year career. In 2004, following the merger of R.J. Reynolds with the U.S. business of Brown & Williamson, Schindler was named chairman of Reynolds American Inc., a position he held until his retirement in 2005.
