Shidiya, Jordan-Jordan Phosphate Mines Co. and Mitsubishi Corp. have agreed to build a $300 million fertilizer complex near JPMC’s main phosphate mine in Shidiya, according to regional reports. The facility would produce 10,000 mt/d of phosphoric acid and 3,000 mt/d of sulfuric acid. Construction is expected to be complete by 2010.
