Boston-Natural fertilizer producer Converted Organics Inc. has received its first substantial order, even before its production facility in New Jersey is up and running. The company announced that Corbitt Manufacturing has agreed to purchase 2,200 tons of all-natural 8-2-4 lawn fertilizer to be produced at Converted Organics’ first plant, currently under construction in Woodbridge, N.J. The product is to be delivered beginning in spring of 2008. H.C. Corbitt III of Corbitt Manufacturing explained that the all-natural fertilizer will be “an excellent addition to our product line. We are very excited about the product and its place in the retail fertilizer market.” Corbitt, of Lake City, Fla., is a leading manufacturer and distributor of mulch and other lawn and garden products, servicing 44 states and numerous foreign countries.
