CHS Inc. has named key staff to lead its global crop nutrients sourcing operations based at a new, soon-to-be-opened Tampa, Fla., office. Todd Dysle will join CHS Crop Nutrients on Feb. 1 as product manager, UAN and ammonium thio sulfate. Matt Bohan has been named product manager, urea and ammonium sulfate, and will assume his position by mid-2008. The two will be based in Tampa and are charged with managing product supply and pricing and meeting the company’s crop nutrients’ growth objectives. They will report to Tim Chrislip, director, product management and business development.
“Positioning these highly experienced industry professionals in our new Tampa office allows CHS to expand its urea and UAN sourcing options through closer ties to the international trading community and other significant players based in that city,” Chrislip said. “This increases our effectiveness and helps ensure we can meet our customers’ product needs in a market with considerable supply/demand imbalance.”
Dysle brings to CHS more than 20 years experience in diverse leadership roles in the crop nutrients trading and distribution industry. He was previously vice president, North American Fertilizers, for Alfred C. Toepfer, International, at Tampa, Fla., where he was responsible for successfully integrating the company’s overall world marketing strategy. He has also held positions with Helm Fertilizer Corp., IMC Global Inc., and Mid-Ohio Chemical Co.
Prior to joining CHS, Bohan spent 14 years in Tampa and Singapore as a senior vice president with Alfred C. Toepfer International. He was responsible for developing Toepfer’s DAP and urea trading program in Vietnam, along with fertilizer trading in China, India, Korea, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Taiwan. He has also worked for US Chem Resources Inc. and Cargill.
Viterra has announced the appointment of Andrew Muirhead, MBA, CA, as senior vice president of corporate development. He will lead Viterra’s strategic business development and growth. A former vice president and director of investment banking at TD Securities Inc., prior to joining TD, he held the position of executive director, mergers & acquisitions, for CIBC World Markets. Muirhead’s appointment to Viterra is effective immediately. He will be based in Calgary.
