Do not sell fertilizer to this man; last seen in Spokane

A criminal convicted in 2006 of trying to blow up a U.S. government building with a fertilizer bomb is on the loose. The trail might be turning cold in the search for Anthony Burke, 22, aka Anthony Garver, a parolee released early this month who failed to show up for a work release program at a nearby location.

“This kid just released from prison is like a lot of folks with an anti-government mindset,” U.S. Marshal Mike Kline told Green Markets. “It may be nothing more than that. But we don’t know if he’s going to do anything when we can’t find him. That’s why we decided to put out the information to the public because of the possibility that he would do something. We do know he turned up in Spokane but whether he is still here we have no idea.”

Asked if the trail was turning cold, Kline responded, “we don’t even have a trail.” Kline said there had been a fairly concerted effort by all of the federal and local law enforcement agencies for about a week, adding that “there are no fresh leads and no sightings but we’re not giving up although [we no longer have] the extended resources we had, originally.”
