Pacasmayo eyes Peruvian phosphate plant

Lima-Cementos Pacasmayo, a Peruvian cement company, is eyeing the development of a US$300 million phosphate mine and processing plant, according to the local press. The project would reportedly be located in northern Peru, not far from the phosphate project currently being developed by Brazilian company Vale. Pacasmayo is controlled by mining company Hochschild Mining.
