CF Industries Holdings Inc. has named Anthony Nocchiero to succeed Ernest Thomas as senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective April 27, 2007. Thomas, who has served in the position since May of 2004, is leaving the company to accept a senior financial position at another company. Thomas is expected to remain an employee of the company for a short period and then serve as a consultant through August 31, 2007.
Nocchiero, 56, was previously CFO and vice president, finance, of Merisant Worldwide, Inc., a Chicago-based marketer of low-calorie sweeteners. Prior to Merisant, he spent more than 25 years with BP Amoco PLC and its predecessor, Amoco Corporation, where he held a variety of financial and planning positions, including corporate controller at Amoco and chief financial officer of BP Chemicals.
