Agrium Advanced Technologies has promoted Jeff Novak to vice president, marketing and innovation. It has also expanded its marketing department to include agronomy, communications, marketing, product innovation, and regulatory affairs. “These changes will allow us to better meet the growing needs of our customers, be more efficient in providing marketing support to our current product lines, and improve our ability to plan and launch future products,” said Andrew Mittag, Agrium AT president.
In his new role, Novak will be responsible for strategic marketing planning and expanding markets for Agrium AT products. He will also oversee the day-to-day operations of the marketing and innovation department.
Novak joined Agrium AT in 2009 as senior director of marketing through the CPS acquisition of UAP. He has more than 20 years of experience in the fertilizer and agricultural products business and has held numerous roles with CPS/UAP, including Northern Plains general manager and national accounts director, and Loveland Products Inc. marketing director. Novak holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from North Dakota State University in Fargo, N.D.
The Andersons Plant Nutrient Group announced that Matt Anderson has taken over as dry phosphate product manager. Anderson has been with the company for 21 years in a combination of financial and credit management functions. He is replacing Steve Eberly, who earlier this year was named eastern region sales manager for the company (GM Feb. 1, 2010).
