Allana Potash Corp. has appointed Richard Lacroix, P.E., to the company’s board of directors. Lacroix, now retired, spent over almost 30 years with Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, retiring as senior vice president of technical services. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. Allana has granted Lacroix 100,000 stock options pursuant to the stock option plan of the company.
Lacroix replaces Rene Bharti, who tendered his resignation as a director.
Viterra Inc. has named James (Jim) Bell, LLM/MBA, as senior vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary, effective Oct. 18, 2010. Viterra says he has over twenty years of significant international experience and that he will report directly to Viterra President and CEO Mayo Schmidt. He will be based in Calgary. Most recently Bell served as vice president, legal and associate general counsel, of Talisman Energy Inc., managing the legal function for International Operations West, which included overseeing transactions in the North Sea, Continental Europe, Africa, and South America. He also held senior leadership positions with Nova Corp.
