PotashCorp on Oct. 27 reported third quarter earnings of $826 million ($.94 per share), more than double the $343 million ($.38 per share) earned in the year-ago quarter. Nine month earnings climbed to $2.4 billion ($2.73 per share) nearly double the year-ago $1.3 billion ($1.39 per share).
